Device E-Learning Module
This module allows medical professionals to observe the Carpal Clip best practices for patient use.
The CHALLENGE
Nanice Medical needed a scalable training solution for orthopedic surgeons that didn't require cadavers or in-person instruction. The goal was to design a method for surgeons to gain practical, hands-on knowledge of their products and best practices in a flexible, digital format. Nanice Medical partnered with me to create an effective transfer of knowledge through a custom learning solution
The Solution
I recommended the development of an E-Learning module, hosted on Nanice Medical’s website, allowing surgeons to easily access training materials anytime, anywhere. The e-learning solution would provide not only product training but also demonstrate best practices for using their surgical instruments. This approach would help increase surgeon exposure to their products, ultimately driving sales while ensuring effective knowledge transfer for product usage.
process
Needs Analysis & Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): I collaborated with an orthopedic surgeon to identify the core procedures and best practices that needed to be communicated to the learners. This step ensured that we targeted the most relevant and critical content for surgeons.
Content Development: I worked closely with the surgeon to develop a Technique Guide, outlining the step-by-step procedures and key insights for using Nanice Medical’s products effectively. The guide served as the foundation for both the visual elements and the instructional design of the e-learning module.
Storyboarding & Visual Design: After defining the content, I created a detailed storyboard to organize the flow of information and establish the visual elements necessary for effective learner engagement. I focused on creating clear, concise, and engaging visuals to support each procedural step, ensuring that the learners could easily understand and apply the information.
Multimedia Integration: We recorded video walkthroughs of the surgical procedures, identifying key learning points in each step. These recordings were carefully edited to highlight important actions and techniques, ensuring clarity and focus. The visuals were integrated into the e-learning module for easy access.
User Testing & Feedback: The prototype was tested by a small group of surgeons for feedback on content clarity, ease of navigation, and overall effectiveness. Based on the feedback, we made necessary revisions to optimize the learning experience.
